The Resort

Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort is a 50 Roomed complex of tastefully designed Chalets constructed to depict the ancient architectural heritage of Sri Lanka. It is set in a sprawling garden planted with over 800 medicinal herbs & shrubs of various species and fringed by a scenic Beach at Wadduwa, on the Southern Coastal belt of Sri Lanka, 35 km away from Colombo city limits.

The Resort offers a range of attractions, facilities and services for an enjoyable and a relaxing vacation with the option of authentic Ayurveda Health Care Therapies.

The buildings are a mix of local heritage and culture, yet containing all the modern comforts.

The Guard Stones at the porch, the Twin Ponds (Kuttampokuna) and the Reception Hall (Aradhana Mandapaya) denote the historic Anuradhapura era (107 B.C).

The spacious cottages (Chalets) are set out around a circular Swimming Pool. Some Chalets are two storeyed. One type of Chalet is built out of natural bricks, another out of clay, while interior of yet another has been built with rock-stone, giving the feeling of being inside an Ocean Cave. Another Chalet has been constructed out of “Kabook” stone, artistically arranged and left un-plastered to give a natural cooling effect to its occupants. Yet another is built according to the Dutch period. The upper floors of most Chalets are panelled using timber of various medicinal trees such as Margosa, which are renowned for their medicinal effects.
